Staff Sgt. Caba presents the American flag to the daughter of the deceased during a funeral at the Miramar National Cemetery, San Diego, Feb. 16. Funeral detail honors a military tradition for fallen active-duty members and veterans alike. The tradition includes the playing of “Taps,” the folding of an American flag to be presented to the next-of-kin of the deceased, and the 21-gun salute.
