    Staff Sgt. Stephen S. Poff, a squad leader from Ashland, Miss., inspects the engine of his gun truck at Contingency Operating Location Q-West, Jan. 13, with "Flat Stanley," a paper doll used in a pen-pal program. Third-graders with Cheryl Hays' Discovery class at Mooreville Elementary School, Mooreville, Miss., sent the paper doll along with cards and letters. Poff participated in the activity with fellow members of A Company, 2nd Battalion, 198th Combined Arms, 155th Brigade Combat Team, a mechanized infantry unit out of Hernando, Miss.
