Soldiers of the 510th Clearance Company, 20th Engineer Battalion, 36th Engineer Brigade, become familiar with the drivability of the Medium Mine Protected Vehicle (MMPV) Type II. The U.S. Army Operational Test Command provides unique training opportunities for tactical units on new and developing military equipment like the MMPV. Testing by OTC is combined with training conducted by actual units, who incorporate system missions into the unit’s training needs in order to obtain testing and training effects. The MMPV Type II platform provides a blast-protected platform to protect Soldiers conducting explosive hazard missions to assure the mobility of the force at the tactical through strategic level.
