Petty Officer 3rd Class Jerdone McGhee, a logistics specialist and an interpreter for the amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall African Partnership Station staff, sits in the back of a U.N. truck with U.N. Soldiers as they prepare to drop off supplies at the Operation Hope for Children of Haiti clinic in Killick. Gunston Hall, along with the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan, the amphibious dock landing ships USS Fort McHenry and USS Carter Hall, is supporting Operation Unified Response and is providing military support capabilities to civil authorities to help stabilize and improve the situation in Haiti in the wake of the 7.0 magnitude earthquake on Jan. 12.
