Japan Ground Self-Defense Force members set up security immediately after landing on the beach Mar. 11, at Kin Blue, Okinawa, Japan. The members arrived on rubber raid crafts after being called in by the first reconnaissance team. The JGSDF observed U.S. Marines with 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, conducting raid missions, amphibious training and scout swimmer classes.
