    Petty Officer 2nd Class Anthony DeFord, boatswain's mate, explains to members of the Santonean Coast Guard about anchors during Basic Seamanship training held aboard the guided-missile frigate USS Samuel B. Roberts. The seamanship training was a one day class in which all participants will graduate and receive a Certificate in Basic Seamanship. Samuel B. Roberts is currently deployed in support of Africa Partnership Station West. APS is an international initiative developed by U.S. Naval Forces Africa to improve maritime safety and security with African partner countries. USS Samuel B. Roberts is homeported in Mayport, Fla.
