Petty Officer 2nd Class William Poertner gives a "thumbs up" a small boy who was previously treated for a broken pelvis, letting him know his bones are healing properly. Poertner, a firefighter and paramedic with the city of Tampa, Fla., is a reservist assigned to Port Security Unit 307. Members of PSU 307 visited a Haitian orphanage and non-profit charity run Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Paul Cormier, to donate food and lift the spirits of the children.
