Camp Atterbury Commander Col. Todd Townsend shakes the hand of Military Police Officer Spc. Stephen Strebinger for his quick actions on Sept. 22, 2009, which led to the success in a team effort to save the life of a civilian contractor at Camp Atterbury, Ind., Jan. 7. Strebinger was awarded the Indiana Distinguished Service Medal for demonstrating technical and tactical expertise in operating an automated external defibrillator for use on a civilian who was in cardiac arrest.
