NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Mar. 08, 2016) -- McKinley Price, mayor of Newport News, Robert Coleman, talks with Pre-Commissioning Unit Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) Commanding Officer Capt. John F. Meier tour the ship's flight deck during a test of the waist launchers that compromise part of the ship's Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS).
