Petty Officer 2nd Class Charles Brown, U.S. Navy explosive ordnance, a member of Joint Special Joint Operations Task Force - Philippines, ties his hammock to two trees using rope during a Jungle Environmental Survival Training course. The two-day course in the jungle taught JSOTF-P members how to survive by using the land to build shelter, find animals that are safe to eat and use plants for basic first aid and other uses. Selected JSOTF-P personnel who may be stranded in remote areas go to this course to learn basic outdoor survival techniques. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Jose E. Castellon/Released)
