Maj. Gen. A. C. Roper, the commander of the 80th Training Command (TASS), awards the prestigious Legion of Merit award to the 102nd Training Division's outgoing commmander, Brig. Gen. John Elam, to honor Elam's years of dedication and service during a Change of Command ceremony at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., April 3, 2016. Elam, along with Command Sgt. Maj. John Stumph, handed the reins of leadership of the 102nd over to the new commander, Brig. Gen. Miyako Schanely, and Command Sgt. Maj. Robert Provost. The 102nd trains engineers, military police, and CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) soldiers across the United States.
