Used and discarded coffee grounds are stored in a container on the desk of Joe Villines, as he performs his civilian duties with the Department of Veterans Affairs, keeping into consideration things that can aid his new passion, farming. Villines manages to find the balance between his military obligations, his civilian career with the Department of Veterans affairs, fatherhood, and a growing passion in rural farming. Joe is increasing his knowledge on traditional farming and becoming a man of the soil, and in the process giving back to his local community.
