Col. Keith M. Logeman, the assistant commandant of the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center, explains the importance of having a new language center in Vilseck, Germany, to Spc. Nathaniel Newkirk, a broadcast specialist assigned to the American Forces Network, Bavaria, April 7, 2016. The Combined Arms Language Training Center will provide military and civilian linguists throughout the European and African Commands the opportunity to get language training closer to their home duty stations in Europe.
