JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska -- Staff Sgt. Paul Norwood, B Company, 1st Battalion (Airborne), 143rd Infantry Regiment, instructs other Army National Guard Soldiers in the use of the Ahkio Sled, April 3, 2016, at the Barrow Army National Guard Armory. Squads use the sled to tow a 10-man tent, a Space Heater Arctic, water, fuel, food and other supplies to survive in subarctic and arctic winter conditions.
