Capt. Pete Galluch, commanding officer, Aegis Training and Readiness Center, Rear Adm. P. Gardner Howe III, president, U.S. Naval War College (NWC), William Bundy, director of NWC's Gravely Naval Warfare Research Group, and Capt. David Zook, staff member at Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense Organization, participate in the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Summit at NWC in Newport, Rhode Island. The two-day event was hosted by NWC's Gravely Naval Warfare Research Group and served as an opportunity to assess emerging IAMD missions and address development of tactics, techniques and procedures that will be employed by maritime component forces in joint and multi-national operations. Additionally, the summit directly offered operating forces an opportunity to improve combat readiness and shape the future IAMD force.
