The U.S. Marine Corps and Portuguese Marine Corps conducted a two-day bilateral training exercise designed to increase the tactical proficiency of the U.S. and Portuguese militaries and promote long-term regional security in the region, April 18-19. The Marines are part of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit and are deployed to the 6th Fleet area of responsibility in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe.
