Lance Cpl. Angel Aguilar clambers up a muddy slope during the annual Camp Hansen Mud Run April 24 aboard Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. Status of Forces Agreement personnel and Okinawa residents came together to enjoy food, fellowship and team-based physical challenges during three, five and 10 kilometer cross-country style races. The event is one of Camp Hansen’s quarterly open-gate events designed to strengthen the relationship of American service members and Okinawa residents. Participants received various awards as they crossed the finish line such as t-shirts, towels and medals. Aguilar is aviation repair technician with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 36, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force and a Ventura, California, native.
