The B-25 "Panchito" is prepared for a rehearsal flight prior to the 2016 Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Air Show – “Celebrating 75 Years” at MCAS Cherry Point, N.C., April 29, 2016. The B-52 Panchito, a World War II era bomber, is part of the Delaware Museum Foundation and the Disabled American Veterans Airshow Outreach Program. Its mission is to educate the public and honor veterans. This year’s air show celebrated MCAS Cherry Point and 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing’s 75th anniversary. Cherry Point is the perfect place for an air show due to its massive runway system, broad flight line and huge open spaces over which the performers can safely conduct their impressive maneuvers.
