160503-N-TT202-077 NORFOLK, Virginia (May 3, 2016) Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Rosa Zhu and Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Luis F. Sampedro raise the National Ensign on the fantail aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) as it returns to Naval Station Norfolk from a regularly scheduled deployment to the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet area of responsibility. Kearsarge, part of the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group, returned from a scheduled seven-month deployment in support of maritime security operations, crisis response, theater security operations, and providing a forward naval presence in the U.S. Navy's 5th and 6th Fleet area of operations.
