MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif - Marines conduct a fire mission using the M777 Howitzer during a Jane Wayne Day event at Camp Pendleton May 7, 2016. The Marines are with Battery E, 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division. Jane Wayne Day is a family-oriented exercise offering spouses the opportunity to experience what Marines go through as they train. The event also gives Marines a chance to enjoy time with their spouses while presenting them with specific aspects of their job they may not have known before. During the 2nd Bn., 11th Marines Jane Wayne day, Marines helped family members conduct small-arms fire with either the M16A4 service rifle or the M4 carbine at stationary targets from 25 meters away. Marines also demonstrated how to execute fire missions using the M777 Howitzer. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Demetrius Morgan/RELEASED)
