Command staff and Soldiers of the North Carolina Army National Guard’s 1450th Transportation Company stand at attention as the Army Song is sung during their Demobilization Ceremony in Granite Falls, N.C., May 14, 2016. The 1450th Transportation Company, composed primarily of heavy wheel transportation vehicles with the ability to provide a wide range of hauling capabilities ranging from containerized movement to hauling refrigerated or bulk water cargo, deployed in support of Operations Enduring Freedom, Inherent Resolve and Spartan Shield by providing critical transportation and convoy security for military host nation transportation assets in Kuwait and Iraq. The unit provided assistance and mentorship to host nation security forces in order to develop self-sufficient logistical strategies and operations as U.S. forces prepare to withdraw. The 1450th Transportation Company redeployed to North Carolina in May. (U.S. Army National Guard Photo by Sgt. Benjamin Chancey, HHD 60th Troop Command Public Affairs)
