The centerpiece of the District's participation was its Emergency Command and Control Vehicle, a 47-foot truck designed to provide a communication platform for first responders in areas hit by disasters.
The ECCV, operated by Alex Watt, made its appearance and was led by the District's deputy commander, Lt. Col. Dennis Sugrue, district volunteers and their families. The group carried the District's banner, followed by the District's safety office and Bobber the Water Safety Dog, and the ECCV along the two-mile parade route.
