U.S., German and French service members, veterans and civilians pay their respects at the memorial dedicated to the actions and humanity displayed by Kenneth Moore and Robert Wright during World War II at a memorial ceremony June 4, 2016, at Angoville-au-Plain, France. As medics, Moore and Wright saved 80 combatants, both allies and enemies, and one child in June 1944. They provided aide to whomever needed it as long as they respected their wishes and left weapons outside of the Angoville-au-Plain church, where they set up their medical facility, so as not to compromise the status of the location as a noncombatant facility.
