Medical tools sit on a table during the Cascadia Rising exercise June 8, 2016. The exercise was part of Operation Cascadia Rising, in which National Guardsmen from Oregon, Kentucky, Idaho and Utah worked side-by-side with other local, state, regional and national government agencies and non-government agencies to test their disaster preparedness and response. Medical professionals from the Army and Air Guard joined the State Emergency Registry of Volunteers- Oregon, to share best practices for trauma care.
