FOB KALSU, Iraq – Capt. Rick Childers, a native of Port St. Luce, Fla., and a civil engineer with the 62nd Engineer Battalion, 16th Engineer Brigade, Multi-National Division – Baghdad, reviews construction work plans with engineer officers from the 6th Iraqi Army Division during the Engineer Officer Shadow Program conducted here June 17-23. The shadow program was created to allow IA engineer officers an opportunity to gain experience in U.S. Army vertical and horizontal construction methods, construction management techniques, and also learn new leadership skills from their American peers.
