Sailors participating in Africa Partnership Station West aboard the Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock-landing ship USS Gunston Hall, demonstrate the procedures for splinting a broken leg as part of training for a basic first aid class while media personnel participating in a media availability aboard the ship, film. Gunston Hall is on a scheduled deployment in West Africa in support of APS West, an international initiative developed by Naval Forces Europe and Naval Forces Africa that aims to improve maritime safety and security in West and Central Africa.
