    Combined Joint Task Force - 82 PAO

    U.S. Army Soldiers with Company F, 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, Task Force Lethal Warrior, link cables to a Chinook with Company F, Task Force Lighthorse, 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, Task Force Falcon, in order to conduct an airlift out of the Korengal Outpost as part of Operation Mountain Descent II, April 9. During Operation Mountain Descent II, more than 500 Soldiers and nearly half a million pounds of equipment were airlifted out of the Korengal valley; this was the large-scale movement of U.S. forces out of the valley, which was completed on the morning of April 14.
