(June 11, 2016) – Hull Technician 1st Class Vincent Savage and Hull Technician 2nd Class Michael Modugno switch vacuum collection holding and transfer system from the pier to the ship in the aft pump room, in preparation for Pre-commissioning Unit Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) turn ship evolution. Turn ship is a major milestone for Ford, bringing it one step closer to becoming fully operational.
