Maj. Gen. Gregory Vadnais, adjutant general for the Michigan National Guard, passes by a resident expressing thanks for the recent repairs conducted on Lake Road Sunday near Ironwood, Michigan. Last week’s severe rain caused the road washout in a number of areas, effectively stranding residents living on Lake Road. Approximately 40 members from the Michigan National Guard 107th Engineer Battalion have been activated to assist in road repair operations. (Michigan National Guard photo by Lt. Col.
