FOB KALSU, Iraq -- Soldiers from Company B, 2nd Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, inspect the aftermath of a controlled detonation July 27 in the Abasha Farms section of Sayifiyah. Soldiers from 2-8 Inf. conducted Operation River Falcon July 25-27 in an effort to disrupt a terrorist safe haven and engage with local residents. Soldiers found an enormous cache, along with numerous vehicles suspected of transporting weapons, bombs and being used to carry out car bomb attacks, leading to the controlled detonation of the items discovered.
