Travie Ross and her father, Medal of Honor recipient, Hershel Woodrow “Woody” Williams, walk back from the USNS Hershel “Woody’ Williams, where she and her sister Tracie Ross welded their initials onto the keel during the keel laying ceremony at the Nassco shipyard in San Diego, Aug. 2. The ship was named after their father for his bravery at the Battle of Iwo Jima. The ship is scheduled to be commissioned by 2018.
