160808-N-WF272-041 SASEBO HARBOR (Aug. 8, 2016) Seaman Diego Ocampo (left), from Phoenix, Ariz., and Seaman Allen Knight, from Streetman, Texas, loosen forged turnbuckles of a pelican hook during an anchoring evolution on the forecastle of amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). A pelican hook, named because of its resemblance to a pelican's beak, is used to secure an anchor chain in place. Bonhomme Richard (BHR) is the flagship of the BHR Expeditionary Strike Group, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
