A local Iraqi puts his ballot into the ballot box moments after voting during the Diyara Agricultural Union elections Aug. 12. Farmers from the southern Baghdad and northern Babil provinces voted for the people they wanted to guide the new union as it rebuilds itself. The union was shut down after the fall of Saddam and is ready to help farmers make profits and instill hope in the region.
