SILVERDALE, Wash. (Aug. 17, 2016) - Air Traffic Controller Airman Kenneth McTaggart, assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) and a native of Atlanta, removes unwanted shrubs and weeds around an electric fence while volunteering at One Heart Wild Education Sanctuary in Silverdale, Wash. The community relations events was one in which many Nimitz Sailors attended. Nimitz is currently undergoing an extended planned incremental maintenance availability at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility where the ship is receiving scheduled maintenance and upgrades.
