Tech. Sgt. Sam Ruiz of the 119th Security Forces Squadron (grey tank-top and white headband) can be seen running in the middle of the pack at about the 8-mile mark, May 22, during the 2010 Fargo Marathon, Fargo, N.D. Ruiz ran a full-marathon while deployed in Iraq last year simultaneously with his hometown, 2009 Fargo Marathon. His 2010 marathon time was 3 hours, 54 minutes. Ruiz is one of many people with military connections running the race.
