Lance Cpl. John Rasoilo, a rifleman with Company I, Battalion Landing Team 3/8, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, grips the rock face as he attempts to top rope during a class at the Assault Climbers Course at Cooper's Rock in Kingwood, W.Va., April 27. The Marines climbed the rock face using protective gear, known as "friends." For additional safety while practicing friend placement, the Marines used a safety line. The Assault Climbers Course is one of several Special Operations Training Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force, events as part of 26th MEU's preparation for deployment this fall.
