U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Domingo Tavarez from ARSOUTH Civil Affairs buries a practice mine for the final evaluation of the Colombian army soldiers from the Demining Battalion #6 in Bogota, Colombia, May 19, 2010. Soldiers have to demonstrate the ability to find a mine using the proper procedures, equipment and safety measures. This humanitarian demining training is a train the trainer course conducted by ARSOUTH in Bogota, Colombia, as part of the professional development exchange program and sponsored by USSOUTHCOM, which provided equipment to the Colombian army to facilitate their mission.
