Denver, Pa., native, Lt. Col. Kelly Thrasher, and Command Sgt. Maj. Dana Morgan from Montclair, N.J., display their unit's Yellow Banner during a ceremony at Army Support Activity-Dix's Griffith Field House May 24. Their unit, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 411th Civil Affairs Battalion, whose motto is "Building a Better Nation," is an Army Reserve organization from Danbury, Conn., that will deploy to Afghanistan to conduct a civil affairs mission. The Yellow Banner is given to units who mobilize through ASA-Dix as a symbolic gesture that they are in the thoughts and well-wishes of the ASA-Dix community. The banner is hung in Infantry Park while the unit is deployed and given back to the organization upon its return from combat.
