Meyer (DDG 108), return to their ship from mooring duties at the Port of Los Angeles in preparation for LA Fleet Week. Wayne E. Meyer and USS America (LHA 6), both homeported in San Diego, will be docked pierside for the duration of LA Fleet Week from Sept. 2 to Sept. 5. Fleet week offers the public an opportunity to meet Sailors, Marines, and members of the Coast Guard and gain a better understanding of how the sea services support the national defense of the United States and freedom of the seas.
