A recruit from Bravo Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, performs inspection arms during the Series Commander’s Inspection at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Sept. 12. Recruits are given time to clean their rifles every day to keep them in proper working order. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Bravo Company is scheduled to graduate Oct. 14.
