Lance Cpl. Erick Louis Jenne, a native of Orlando, Fla., is a Marine Embarkation Logistics Clerk assigned to Marine Light/Attack Helicopter Squadron 269, currently participating in the 23rd Fleet Week hosted by the city of New York. Louis Jenne, the son of Obene and Saintanie Louis Jenne of Deerfeild Beach, Fla., attended Ocoee High School, also attended an event hosted by Navy for Moms. The group was created in 2008 for the mothers and loved ones of those who are currently serving or considering serving in the U.S. Navy. The group gives members a support group to discuss issues with others who share common concerns. "This is my first time to New York and I'm loving the experience," said Louis Jenne. More than 3,000 members of the Maritime Services are participating in the yearly event hosted by the city. The event includes military demonstrations, sporting events, ship tours, Staten Island Music Festival, parades and a chance to meet the men and women of the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard.
