Marines with Company G, Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, conduct a deck shoot aboard the USS Germantown (LSD 48), Sept. 13, 2016. The Marines of BLT 2/4 conducted marksmanship training as a part of the 31st MEU’s annual fall patrol of the Pacific. As the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward deployed unit, the 31st MEU is prepared to respond to a wide range of military operations, from humanitarian assistance missions to limited combat operations, at a moment’s notice.
