Overland Park, Kan. resident, Sgt. 1st Class Daniel Lawrence and Maj. Matthew Sampson, from St. Robert, Mo., display their unit's Yellow Banner during a ceremony at Army Support Activity-Dix's Infantry Park, June 1. Their unit, D Company, 418th Civil Affairs Battalion, is an Army Reserve organization from Belton, Mo. that will deploy to the Horn of Africa to conduct a civil affairs mission. The Yellow Banner is given to units who mobilize through ASA-Dix as a symbolic gesture that they are in the thoughts and well-wishes of the ASA-Dix community. The banner is hung in Infantry Park while the unit is deployed and given back to the organization upon its return from combat.
