BULBOACA TRAINING AREA, MOLDOVA – A Moldovan soldier circles the shot grouping of North Carolina National Guard Soldier Sgt. Jose Nava of headquarters, 1st Battalion, 120th Infantry Regiment (120th INF), at Bulboaca Training Area, Moldova, Sept. 19, 2016, as part of Multinational Exercise Fire Shield 2016. Moldovan Special Forces trained several NCNG Soldiers on marksmanship using Moldovan military AK-47 Kalashnikov assault rifles. The exercise, hosted by the Republic of Moldova Sept. 9-25, 2016, is an opportunity for the 120th INF and the NCNG’s 1st Battalion, 113th Field Artillery Regiment (113th FAR) to develop relationships and improve capabilities with European partners.
