BULBOACA TRAINING AREA, MOLDOVA – North Carolina National Guard Soldier Sgt. Geoffrey Huntley of headquarters, 1st Battalion, 113th Field Artillery Regiment (113th FA), fires a Moldovan military AK-47 Kalashnikov assault rifle at Bulboaca Training Area, Moldova, Sept. 19, 2016, as part of Multinational Exercise Fire Shield 2016. Moldovan Special Forces members trained several NCNG Soldiers on the weapon. The exercise, hosted by the Republic of Moldova Sept. 9-25, 2016, is an opportunity for the 113th FA and NCNG’s 1st Battalion, 120th Infantry Regiment (120th INF) to develop relationships and improve capabilities with European partners.
