SAN CLEMENTE ISLAND, California (September 10, 2016) - An MV-22 Osprey lands to evacuate a simulated casualty and the tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel team during the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Certification Exercise aboard San Clemente Island, Calif., Sept. 10, 2016. CERTEX is the final exercise of the MEU’s six-month pre-deployment training cycle and will certify the 11th MEU as a deployable unit in preparation for its deployment to the Pacific, Middle East and the Horn of Africa.
