SAN CLEMENTE ISLAND, California (September 10, 2016) - Marines with the tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel team, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, climb up a hill while searching for a simulated missing pilot during a TRAP training mission at the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Certification Exercise aboard San Clemente Island, Calif., Sept. 10, 2016. The TRAP team is comprised of three different elements: recovery - the element in charge of recovering aircraft or personnel - security - the element in charge of providing security around the landing zone; and support - the element that supports the recovery team in destroying aircraft or evacuating casualties.
