A Djibouti Armed Forces (FAD) soldier secures the legs to an Africa Data Sharing Network (ADSN) satellite during a best practices training with U.S. Soldiers at FAD Headquarters in Djibouti, Sept. 28, 2016. While conducting the best practices training, the U.S. Army, assigned to Combined Joint Task-Horn of Africa, also held an ADSN validation with the FAD soldiers to prepare them to deploy to Somalia. The ADSN provides network and Voice over Internet Protocol capabilities between several African countries participating in the Africa Union Mission in Somalia. Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa is a multinational effort to conduct theater security cooperation, combat violent extremism and enable freedom of movement within East Africa in order to defend U.S. interests and support aligned regional efforts.(U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
