Haitian locals fish off the coast of a village Oct. 9, 2016 in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. Haiti was devasted by hurricane Matthew which killed more than 800 people. Joint Task Force Matthew is a comprised of multinational partners who are working together to provide and bring aid to those in need in Haiti. JTF Matthew was a U.S. Southern Command lead humanitarian assistance, disaster relief effort in Haiti following Hurricane Matthew. Matthew was a category 4 hurricane that formed in the Western Atlantic Ocean and affected Haiti, eastern Cuba, and the Bahamas before moving up the southeast coast of the United States.
