U.S. Navy Sailors, Airman, and Marines work together with multinational forces to offload aid and supplies to remote villagers effected by Hurricane Matthew Oct. 9, 2016 in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. Haiti was devastated by hurricane Matthew which killed more than 800 people. JTF Matthew was a U.S. Southern Command lead humanitarian assistance, disaster relief effort in Haiti following Hurricane Matthew. Matthew was a category 4 hurricane that formed in the Western Atlantic Ocean and affected Haiti, eastern Cuba, and the Bahamas before moving up the southeast coast of the United States.
